A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR...

The vision for Horizon West Assembly is to reach, teach, and deploy beyond where we worship. Christians are commissioned to go and make disciples of all people. As people desire to have more purpose and dream of leaving a legacy better than themselves, they must look to God as their only source. When they come to Horizon West Assembly in blind faith hoping to find God, I want them to be relieved to have found a home full of the presence of God.

It is my vision to make every person feel accepted, loved, important, and a part of the family the moment they arrive. Each Christian is responsible to show our guests the hospitality of God.

It is my vision to make disciples, imitators of Jesus; first within our community and then outwardly to the rest of the world. Making disciples requires nurturing a person’s relationship and trust with God and with others. It requires teaching them the thrill of praise and worship, to hunger for God’s Word, and the peace that comes from conversing with God daily.

It is my vision that every believer celebrate their public commitment to Christ by being baptized, immersed under water. For this purpose Horizon West Assembly will host frequent baptismal services.

It is my vision that every believer understand the commands of Christ and be taught the principles of Godly living. This is accomplished through relevant, Bible based sermons, specialized classes, and personal opportunities to practice ministry.

Finally, it is my vision to touch the whole world from Central Florida. God is passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to hear about Jesus. Horizon West Assembly is passionate about spreading the good news of Jesus by sending funds, resources, and people to every part of our world.

I purposely have omitted the vision of construction. Although buildings are an essential part of effectively reaching our community let us remember we are the church not the stone and mortar that occasionally surrounds us.
